The Spring term is where we focus on Wilderness Medicine, Survival Skills, Permaculture installations and a Jungle expedition.

Wilderness First Responde
9am-5pm, Monday-Friday Pavones, Costa Rica
Wilderness First Responder Certification is important to have under your belt if you want to find work in outdoor education or if you just want to be ready to deal quckly and effectively with medical situations in normal life. Students will be put through a 10-day WFR training and come out with their ceritification at the end.
Jungle Survival
9am-5pm, Monday-Friday Pavones, Costa Rica
Continuing students from earlier terms go more in depth into their survival skills training. New Spring Term students are introduced to basic survival skills (fire, shelter, bowmaking and more). Learn animal processing, hide tanning, blow guns and spearfishing.
Osa Peninsula Expedition
24/7, Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica
Experienced locals share their knowledge of local flora and fauna. As we learn about the plants that help and heal and the animals that deserve our respect, we gain a sense of place in this tropical land. Hike into the interior of the Osa Peninsula, and experience a wild, vibrant jungle ecosystem that few westerners ever see. Visit natives who live very much like their ancestors did.
Permaculture Installation intensive
9am-5pm, Monday-Friday Pavones, Costa Rica
We work together to design and install permaculture projects in neighboring Guaymi Indian villages to provide much needed living systems to poor people. An experienced Permaculture instructor guide our designs and installations.
Tracking and Bird Language
9am-5pm, Monday-Friday Pavones, Costa Rica
We spend a week exploring how to track animals over different substrates and learning how different gaits can tell us what an animal is thinking. We address how the birds in the forest communicate to tell the tale of everything going on around them. And how you can tap into this language, extending the depth of your awareness in the jungle.
Business Planning
9am-5pm, Monday-Friday Pavones, Costa Rica
We learn from experienced business entrepeneurs how to set up a business plan that reflects your unique passion and vision for the world.
